Description
Exhibit description | Smulkaus detalaus piešinio litografijoje vaizduojamas šv. Grigalius iš Nazianzo (325–389). Tai Vilniuje išleistos Mamerto Herburto knygos „Šv. Grigaliaus Nazianzo vyskupo pamokslas apie meilę vargšams“ (1843) iliustracija. Grigalius Nazianzietis gimė Arianze ir buvo vienas iš trijų Grigaliaus, pietvakarių Kapadokijos Nazianzo vyskupo ir krikščionės Nonos vaikų. Grigalius Nazianzietis mokėsi žymiausiose to meto mokyklose: Kapadokijos Cezarėjoje, kur susidraugavo su šv. Bazilijumi, vėliau lankė Aleksandrijos ir Atėnų mokyklas, priėmė krikšto sakramentą ir pasišventė vienuoliškam gyvenimui: vienatvei, dvasinei ir filosofinei meditacijai. Grigalius Nazianzietis sukūrė nemažai poetinių veikalų, tarp kurių ir autobiografinę poemą. Jo kūryboje dažnai kalbama apie Švč. Trejybę. Jis taip pat išgarsėjo kaip tikėjimo tiesos apie žmogiškąją Kristaus prigimtį gynėjas. |
