Exhibit description | 1833–1863 Vilniuje veikusi Juozapo Ozemblovskio litografijos spaustuvė buvo labai produktyvi. Joje litografuota įvairaus pobūdžio kūrinių: portretų, religinio turinio estampų, Vilniaus ir apylinkių peizažų, buvo spausdinamos knygos, žemėlapiai, natos ir kt. Minkšto, detalaus piešinio litografijoje vaizduojami Antanas, Jonas ir Eustachas – trys Vilniaus kankiniai, žuvę 1342 metais. Manoma, jog valdant Algirdui, jie buvę nužudyti dėl politinių motyvų. Stačiatikių tradicija skelbia, kad jų būta lietuvių, didžiojo kunigaikščio dvariškių, slapta priėmusių stačiatikybę ir sekusių Rytų krikščionių papročiais. Už tai, neva, pagonys, pastebėję juos pasninkaujant, auginant ilgus plaukus ir barzdas, nukankino ir pakorė ant ąžuolo, augusio dabartinės Švč. Tejybės cerkvės vietoje. Maskvoje jie buvo oficialiai paskelbti stačiatikių šventaisiais (1547), o balandžio 14 (pagal dabartinį kalendorių – 27) tapo jų šventės diena. Jie įtraukti į visus stačiatikių religinių švenčių kalendorius, sukurta šių šventųjų vaizdavimo tradicija. Antaną, Eustachą ir Joną, kaip vietinius tikėjimo kankinius krikščionis pripažino ir garbino Lietuvos unitų tradicija. |
