Exhibit description | 1874 išleistame albume „Vakarinių imperijos gubernijų senovės paminklai“ surinkti ir publikuoti Lietuvoje bei kaimyninėse teritorijose buvusių ir esamų pravoslavų cerkvių vaizdai. Juos papildo keletas litografijų su vertingiausiais šiose cerkvėse saugotais liturginiais pravoslaviško tikėjimo atributais. Dalis albumo lakštų spausdinta Berlyne, dalis – Peterburge, ir visi jie pasižymi nepriekaištingu piešiniu, puikia spaudos kokybe. Litografijoje vaizduojama Švč. Trejybės cerkvė Vilniuje. Kalnas, ant kurio ji stovi, garsėja tuo, jog čia buvo trijų pirmųjų Lietuvos krikščionių kankinių Jono, Antano ir Eustacho mirties vieta. Apie 1347 Algirdo žmona Julijona jų garbei pastačiusi medinę Švč. Trejybės cerkvę. XVI a. šventovė buvo funduojama Konstantino Ostrogiškio kaip stačiatikių cerkvė. 1608–1827 bažnyčia priklausė unitų vienuoliams bazilijonams, vėliau ji atiteko stačiatikiams. Raiškaus, preciziško piešinio litografijoje užfiksuotas tuometinis jos vaizdas: ji turi gotikos, baroko ir rusų bizantinio stiliaus elementų. Šalia bažnyčios dešinėje pusėje yra išlikusi XVI a. Konstantino Ostrogiškio iniciatyva pastatyta monumentali, beveik kvadratinė, gotikos ir renesanso architektūros bruožų turinti varpinė. |
