Exhibit description | Priklausė Vilniaus universiteto observatorijai, įgytas iš J. Oskierkos 1945 m.
Laikrodžio spinta apverstos piramidės formos, jos šonai ir priekis lygūs, vainikuoti trikampiu frontonėliu ir dvišlaičiu stogeliu. Mechanizmas angliško tipo, preciziškas, su Grahamo detalėmis ir kompensacine švytuokle (sudaryta iš tarpusavyje sukniedytų plieninių ir žalvarinių strypų). Signuotas pasidabruotame, graviruotame ciferblate diske: J. Epf. Frolland a Wilna. Aptariamas laikrodis priklauso ankstyviausiems ampyro formų taikymo pavyzdžiams iš visų Vilniuje pagamintų ant grindų pastatomų laikrodžių. Mechanizmo konstrukcijai bei santūriam graviruotam ciferblato dekorui įtakos turėjo Vilniaus universiteto observatorijoje buvęs anglų laikrodininko Johno Sheltono pagamintas laikrodis. Vienintelis išlikęs J. Frohlando laikrodis liudija gerus profesinius meistro sugebėjimus.
