Exhibit description | Tautodailininko Sauliaus Tamulio kaukė – Užgavėnių personažas Ubagiukas. Suformuota iš vientiso skūros gabalo, akys, šnervės iškirpti. Antakiai, žandenos, ūsai ir barzda iš avikailio, priklijuoti. Kitoje pusėje S. Tamulio įrašas ranka, priklijuotas. Ubagas – personažas labiau paplitęs vakarinėje Lietuvos dalyje. Ubagas mėgdžiodavo kaimo elgetą, vilkėdavo sudriskusiais drabužiais. Būtinas atributas – didelė terba išmaldai, lazda. Kaimo elgetomis dažniausiai rūpindavosi visi kaimo žmonės. Juos paeiliui maitindavo, aukodavo. Prašydavo jų pasimelsi. Todėl persirengėlių procesijoje jie dažniausiai poteriaudavo arba pasakodavo linksmas nebūtas istorijas. |
