Exhibit description | Toshihide Migita (1862–1925), žinomas kaip Oju Toshihide arba Toshihide, buvo japonų menininkas, kūręs tradiciniu ukiyo-e žanru ir perėmęs vakarietišką tapymo stilių. Migita mokėsi pas žymųjį Tsukioka Yoshitoshi ir Kinisawą Shimburō (1847–1877), kuris buvo mokęsis Britanijoje. Migita Toshihide buvo žinomas kaip kabuki teatro fiksuotojas, o nuo 1877 m. jo darbai buvo spausdinami laikraščiuose ir žurnaluose. Kaip ir daugelis Meiji laikotarpio menininkų, jis dokumentavo Kinijos ir Japonijos bei Rusijos ir Japonijos karus, jo triptikai laikomi svariais imperialistinės armijos propagandos skleidėjais. Lakšte vaizduojama scena iš Okehazamos mūšio (Okehazama-no-tatakai), įvykusio 1560 m. birželio 12 d. Ovari provincijoje, šiandieninėje Aichi prefektūroje. Šiame mūšyje Oda klano kariai, kuriems vadovavo Oda Nobunaga, nugalėjo Imagawą Yoshimoto ir įtvirtino Odą kaip vieną iš svarbiausių karo vadų Sengoku laikotarpiu. |
