Information about the museum
The Museum of Wooden Urban Architecture is a distinctive museum, presenting the wooden architectural heritage of Vilnius and acquainting visitors with the old as well as contemporary, ecological and sustainable wooden urban architecture.
Starting as a unit of the Directorate of Vilnius Memorial Museums in 2019, the Museum opened its doors in 2021 in Užupis, a historical suburb of Vilnius, in a wooden 19th century building decorated with exceptional artistic wood-carvings.
The Museum of Wooden Urban Architecture features a consultation centre orientated toward Vilnius residents who live in wooden buildings.
