Information about the museum
The museum presents the history of banking and money. The museum, which is part of the Bank of Lithuania, was established in 1997.
It is one of the most modern and interactive museums in Lithuania. Here visitors can not only learn about the history of the world money and banking but also mint their own souvenir coin, print a banknote with their own picture or even discover their own monetary value. The Money Museum features many interesting and unique exhibits, the most fascinating of which is the world's largest money pyramid.
Graphic decisions, integration of artwork, various interactive means, as well as video, sound and lighting effects not only make the visit more exciting and educational but also allow visitors to actively participate in the learning process.
The museum also owns the Exhibition on the History of Money and the Bank of Lithuania in Kaunas.
