Information about the museum
Exhibiting Rytis Milkintas’ private angel collection, the Angel Museum was opened in 2014. Currently, the museum’s permanent exhibition consists of over 500 handmade angels made from clay, glass, porcelain, metal, stone, wood, straw and wicker. The exhibition consists of angels created by Lithuanian artists and folk artists, as well as angels created by the founder of the museum, the folk artist Rytis Milkintas. The angels on display come from 26 different countries, and were either gifted, bought or given to the previous owner as souvenirs.
