Information about the museum
The Beatričė Grincevičiūtė Flat-Museum "Beatričė's Home" is a branch of the Directorate of Vilnius Memorial Museums. The museum presents the personality of the prominent Lithuanian singer of the 20th century, Beatričė Grincevičiūtė (1911–1988), and the environment in which she lived. „Beatričė's Home“ aims to preserve the musical heritage of Lithuanian composers and the genre of chamber music.
The Beatričė Grincevičiūtė Flat-Museum was established in 1993 next to the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. The singer lived for seventeen years in this multi-story building built in 1956, which was also home to several other well-known Lithuanian artists.
The small but cosy museum preserves the authentic interior of the apartment and an archive.
