Exhibit description | Dagtinė arkebuza tanegašima, kalibras – 11,6 mm, Japonija, XVI a. II pusė–XVII a. 1543 m. šautuvus į Japoniją įvežė portugalai, kurie pirmiausia išsilaipino Tanegašima (angl. Tanegashima) saloje, esančioje piečiau Kiūšiū. Arkebuzos buvo vienos pagrindinių į Japoniją portugalų, o vėliau ir ispanų įvežamų prekių. Šioje šalyje arkebuzai prigijo minėtos salos pavadinimas – tanegašima. Supratę arkebuzų teikiamas galimybes ir tikėdamiesi jų pagalba įveikti savo priešininkus, Japonijos daimio (kunigaikščiai) stengdavosi įsigyti jų kuo daugiau. Nepaisant didelių importo mastų, šautuvų krašte vis tiek trūko, todėl daimio, o taip pat Honšiu salos pietinėje dalyje esančio Sakai miesto pirkliai ir net kai kurie budistų vienuolynai ėmėsi organizuoti jų gamybą. Ginklai buvo 90–140 cm ilgio, paprastai aštuonkampiais vamzdžiais, su taikikliu ir kryptuku, dagtinėmis spynomis su spyruoklės nuleidžiamu serpentinu ir trumpomis buožėmis, kurios nebuvo skirtos remti į petį įprastu būdu. Vidinių karų metu arkebuzas daugiausiai naudojo japonų pėstininkų ašigaru formuotės arkebuzininkai. Mūšyje arkebuzininkai pradėdavo priešo apšaudymą ne didesniu nei 100 m atstumu. Tarp samurajų parakiniai šaunamieji ginklai, kaip iš dalies ir lankai, nebuvo populiarūs. Tai prieštaravo jų garbės kodeksui. Tačiau ne visi Japonijos kariniam elitui priklausę žmonės vengė naudoti šiuos ginklus. 1549 m. Šimazu (angl. Shimazu, rus. Симадзу) klano kariai buvo pirmieji samurajai, mūšyje panaudoję arkebuzas. Po vidinių karų laikotarpio, japonai plačiai panaudojo arkebuzas ekspansijos į Korėją metu. Izoliacionizmo politikos laikotarpiu (1631–1854) šautuvų gamyba ir panaudojimas Japonijoje buvo apriboti. Platesnis jų panaudojimas atnaujintas pasibaigus izoliacionizmo laikotarpiui XIX a. antrojoje pusėje. |
