Exhibit description | 1940 inžinierius Čaikovskis dokumentaliai tikslai ir smulkiai atkūrė Vilniaus pilių kompleksą bei jo apylinkes. Pilies kalnas, juosiamas dviejų upių, buvo patogi vieta piliai statyti. Kaip rodo archeologiniai tyrinėjimai, čia buvo gyventa dar neolite. IX a. kalnas imtas tvirtinti medinėmis ir akmeninėmis užtvaromis, o X – XIII a. čia jau stovėjo medinė pilis. Rašytiniuose šaltiniuose pilis, kaip ir Vilniaus miestas, pirmą kartą paminėti 1323, daugiau žinių apie ją atsirado 1365. Realistinio piešinio kompozicijos centre stambiu planu, minkšta, laisva linija pavaizduotas kalnas ir jį supantys pastatai – pilys, bažnyčios bei upės ir gatvės. Nugarinėje piešinio dalyje piešėjas pateikė išsamią informaciją lenkų kalba. Šis Vilniaus pilių piešinys 1942 buvo nupirktas iš autoriaus. |
