Exhibit description | 1833–1863 Vilniuje veikusi Juozapo Ozemblovskio litografijos spaustuvė buvo labai produktyvi. Joje litografuota įvairaus pobūdžio kūrinių: portretų, religinio turinio estampų, Vilniaus ir apylinkių peizažų, buvo spausdinamos knygos, žemėlapiai, natos ir kt. Smulkaus detalaus piešinio litografijoje vaizduojama šv. Kazimiero koplyčia Vilniaus arkikatedroje. Karalaičiui Kazimierui mirus Gardino pilyje (1484), jo kūnas buvo palaidotas Vilniaus arkikatedros karališkojoje koplyčioje, o 1636 iškilmingai perlaidotas naujoje jam skirtoje koplyčioje. Čia, altoriuje iškeltame sidabro sarkofage, ilsisi iki šiol. Šv. Kazimiero koplyčia Vilniaus arkikatedroje yra neabejotinai reikšmingiausias paminklas, dedikuotas Lietuvos globėjui. Ją fundavo karaliai Žygimantas III ir Vladislovas IV. Koplyčia išsiskiria stiliaus vientisumu, jos dekoro autorius Pjetras Pertis, dirbęs ir Šv. Petro ir Povilo bažnyčioje Vilniuje. Šv. Kazimiero koplyčios stiuko lipdiniai išsiskiria ikonografinės programos svarba ir gausa. Dažniausi simboliai: kriauklė, ąžuolo ar lauro šakelės, lelija, delfinas, gausybės ragas, kaukė, vaisių ir gėlių girliandos. Stiuko angelai laiko Kristaus kančios ir meilės ženklus, kaspinus su lotyniškais užrašais, išminties (kaukolė ir gyvatė) bei skaistumo (šermuonėlis) simbolius. Koplyčios nišose stovi Jogailaičių skulptūros, o įspūdingas freskas XVII a. pabaigoje sukūrė italų menininkas Mikelandželas Palonis. |
