Content description
„Šis faksimilinis Liudviko Rėzos parengto Kristijono Donelaičio (1714-1780) „Metų" leidimas maloniai žavi savo neįprastais gotiškais šriftais ir kruopščiu vertimu į vokiečių kalbą, siekiant supažindinti kitas Europos šalis su lietuvių renesanso literatūros pradininku. Nors K. Donelaitis „Metus" parašė apie XVIII a. 8-ą dešimtmetį („Žiemos rūpesčiuose" minimi Karaliaučiaus gaisrai, kurie buvę 1764 ir 1769 m.), L. Rėza (1776-1840) pirmasis parengė jų leidimą tik 1818 m. Jis suteikė kūriniui ir vėliau taip įprastą" Metų" pavadinimą, su meile parengė jo paralelų vertimą į vokiečių kalbą. Leidiniui L. Rėza taip pat parašė įvadinį straipsnį, kuriame iškėlė jo reikšmę ne tik lietuvių, bet ir visos Europos literatūrai, aukštos moralės, šeimos dorybių bei tėvynės meilės vertybių ugdymui, apibūdino eilėdaros savitumus.“ Pratarmėje taip rašo akademikas Antanas Buračas
