Lietuvos herbas Vytis – sidabrinis raitelis raudoname skyde – skaičiuoja jau septintą šimtmetį. Tai vienas seniausių valstybinių herbų Europoje. XIV a. pabaigoje LDK valdovų antspauduose vaizduotas raito kunigaikščio portretas vėliau tapo kunigaikštystės herbu. Jis kaldintas ant monetų, graviruotas spauduose, pasirodė Vakarų Europos herbynuose. Vytis puošė valdovų antkapius, bažnyčių ir rūmų interjerus bei portalus, gobelenus, indus ir kitus valstybę reprezentuojančius daiktus. Albume yra daugiau kaip 550 įdomiausių Vyčio atvaizdų – nuo seniausių monetų iki Sąjūdžio ženkliukų.
