Description
Exhibit description | Tai ūsuotam vyrui skirtas porcelianinis puodelis. Jis pagamintas XIX a. pab. C.Tielsch & Co gamykloje, kuri veikė Silezijos krašte. Šiuos išskirtinius puodelius XIX a. vid. išrado anglas Harvey Adamsas. Tais Viktorijos laikais dauguma vyrų turėjo įspūdingus ūsus. Juos dauguma vyrų net dažydavo ir vaškuodavo. Vyrai, žinoma, gėrė arbatą. Taigi, jei ūsai prisilies prie arbatos, vaškas gali ištirpti, dažai nusiplauti. Harvey Adamsas sukūrė „ūsų apsaugą“ – ūsų formos iškyšulį, kuris eina per puodelio kraštą. Turėdami tokį puodelį džentelmenai, nebijodami prarasti ūsų spalvos ir formo,s galėdavo gerti savo arbatą ir išlaikyti viršutinę lūpą sausą. Tokie puodeliai buvo labai populiarūs ne tik Europoje, Didžiojoje Britanijoje, bet ir Amerikoje. |
