Description
Exhibit description | Medalis apvalus, bronzinis, su ąsele ir kaspinėliu. Gurtas lygus. Averse – sparnuotos laisvės deivės skulptūros reljefinis atvaizdas tekančios saulės fone. Abipus skulptūros pjedestalo įspausti autoriaus inicialai: kairėje – „J.“, dešinėje – „Z.“. Reverse – 6 horizontalių eilučių užrašas“ „PER AMŽİUS / BUDĖJĘ - LAİSVĘ / LAİMĖJOM / PER AUKAS İR / PASİŠVENTİMĄ / 1918-1928“. Apačioje, dešiniajame pakraštyje smulkiu šriftu įspaustas gamintojo firminis įrašas: „HUGUENIN FEC.“ Medalio kaspinėlis geltonos spalvos, su 5 mm pločio juodos spalvos dryžiais pakraščiuose, perlenktas per pusę, pritvirtintas prie siauro stačiakampio formos laikiklio, su medaliu sujungto statmena grandele. Priesago nėra. Kaspinėlis pervertas per skersinuką, sulenktas, galai susiūti. Lietuvos nepriklausomybės medalis įsteigtas 1928 m. minint Lietuvos nepriklausomybės dešimtmetį. Jo autorius – skulptorius Juozas Zikaras (1881–1944). Medalį kaldino Šveicarijos firma „Huguenin Frères“, Le Locle (Le Loklis). 1928–1940 metais medaliu apdovanota daugiau kaip 44000 Lietuvos ir užsienio valstybių piliečių: knygnešiai, 1918–1920 metų Nepriklausomybės kovų dalyviai, Vyčio Kryžiaus ordino kavalieriai, 1923 metų Klaipėdos sukilimo dalyviai, šauliai, 1918–1919 metais Lietuvos valstybės administracijoje pradėję dirbti tarnautojai ir kt. |
