Exhibit description | Bernardo Brazdžionio atvirlaiškis Pauliui Jurkui, rašytas mašinraščiu iš Bostono 1952 m. birželio 10 d. ant balto popieriaus lapo abiejų pusių. Pasirašyta tušinuku. Daugiausia rašoma apie renginį Rašytojų klube. Minimi dalyvavę rašytojai: Antanas Vaičiulaitis, Jonas Aistis, Faustas Kirša.
Paulius Jurkus (1916-2004) – Lietuvos rašytojas, žurnalistas, redaktorius, meno kritikas, dailininkas, visuomenės ir kultūros veikėjas. 1950 m. emigravo į JAV. Redagavo žurnalą „Ateitis“, dirbo laikraštyje „Darbininkas“. 1988 -1998 m. Lietuvių rašytojų draugijos pirmininkas.
Bernardas Brazdžionis (1907–2002) – Lietuvos išeivijos poetas, prozininkas, poetas, dramaturgas, literatūros kritikas, spaudos darbuotojas, muziejininkas. 1944 m. pasitraukė Į Vakarus, 1949 m. atvyko į JAV.
Antanas Vaičiulaitis (1906-1992) – Lietuvos išeivijos rašytojas, diplomatas, vertėjas. Žymiausias kūrinys – romanas „Valentina“.
Jonas Aistis - Aleksandravičius ( 1904 - 2000) – Lietuvos išeivijos poetas, eseistas. 1936 m. Grenoblio universitete studijavo prancūzų kalbą ir literatūrą. 1946 m. persikėlė gyventi į JAV. Nuo 1958 m. dirbo JAV kongreso bibliotekoje.
Faustas Kirša (1891-1964) – Lietuvos poetas, publicistas. 1922-1925 m. Berlyne studijavo vokiečių kalbą ir literatūrą. 1949 m. išvyko į JAV, gyveno Bostone. |
