Information about the museum
The Elektrėnai Regional Museum has its origins in the Elektrėnai Museum of Literature and Art, which was established in 1977 in the Elektrėnai School.
On 2 January 2024, the Elektrėnai Regional Museum, which is a department of the Elektrėnai Municipal Public Library, started its activities. The museum is housed in the reconstructed barn of the Abromiškių Manor.
The museum displays a collection of sculptures created by the famous Lithuanian folk sculptor Ipolitas Užkurnis (1926–2004). The exposition is also complemented by temporary exhibitions.
