Exhibit description | Pirmoji taurė cilindro formos, o antroji – lygi (be papuošimų), pėda plati, dvipakopė, kojelė trumpa, kupa siaurėjanti į viršų. Viršus užbaigtas statmenu profiliu. Apačioje išraižyta raidė „B“. Žemaičių vyskupystės kunigų trėmimai prasidėjo nuo 1831 metų sukilimo. 1864-aisiais, sukilimui pralaimėjus, apie 100 Žemaičių kunigų buvo ištremta į Sibirą. Vyskupas Motiejus Valančius kaip įmanydamas stengėsi palengvinti jų dalią ir nemažai kunigų apsaugojo nuo tremties. Daugelis žemaičių kunigų, kurie tremties vis dėlto neišvengė, atsidūrę toli nuo Lietuvos, nenuleido rankų ir toliau evangelizavo bei patarnavo žmonėms. |
