Description
Exhibit description | Rąsto formos kalendoriaus maketas. Nutašytame rąste padaryta 12 rėvų, kurios žymi metų mėnesius. Rėvose yra išpjaustinėtos parų atžymos. Kasdien perkeldamas medinį kaištuką iš vienos atžymos į kitą, žmogus skaičiuodavo paras. Kalendorius – pirmasis žmonių išrastas laiko matavimo prietaisas. Dieną keičia naktis. Tokiu būdu pirmuoju natūraliu laiko vienetu tapo para. Nuo senų senovės kalendorius remiasi astronominiais reiškiniais. Žemės gyventojams svarbiausi dangaus kūnai yra Saulė ir Mėnulis, todėl jų ciklai labai svarbūs sudarant kalendorių. Galima išskirti kelias jų rūšis: mėnulio, mėnulio-saulės ir saulės kalendoriai. Pirmieji Mėnulio kalendoriai buvo tiesiog ant mamuto kaulų sužymėtos mėnulio fazės. Jie pradėti naudoti maždaug prieš 35 tūkstančius metų. Senovėje kalendorius kurdavo ir prižiūrėdavo žyniai, remdamiesi astronominiais stebėjimais. Tai buvo labai svarbios ir atsakingos pareigos. Pakeisti kalendorių galėjo tik valdovai. Kaip bebūtų keista, beveik visi kalendoriaus reformatoriai yra mirę smurtine mirtimi. Gal dėl to, kad daugelis valdovų, žengdami į sostą, įsipareigodavo saugoti senąjį kalendorių ir jo nekeisti. Žodis „kalendorius“ yra kilęs iš lotyniško žodžio „calendarium“ ir reiškia „skolų knygą“. Senovės Romoje buvo nustatyta mokėti procentus už paskolą pirmąją kiekvieno mėnesio dieną, užtekant jaunam mėnuliui. Ši diena vadinosi „kalenda“. Lietuvoje, po Žemaitijos krikšto 1413 m., buvo įvestas Julijaus kalendorius. Beje, jis visiškai neatitinka mūsų klimato ir šviesulių judėjimo Lietuvos padange. XVI a. pabaigoje buvo įvestas Grigaliaus kalendorius, kuris sukėlė naują papročių laiko slinktį. 1795 m. Lietuvą prijungus prie Rusijos imperijos, vėl įsigaliojo senasis „juliškasis“ kalendorius. Senasis kalendorius naujuoju Lietuvoje buvo keičiamas kelis kartus, priklausomai nuo to, kas kraštą valdydavo. Bažnyčia dažniausiai vadovaudavosi naujuoju kalendoriumi, oficialusis gyvenimas vykdavo pagal senąjį. Tai sukeldavo nemažą sumaištį. Tokio tipo medinius kalendorius daugiausia naudojo Sibiro tautos iki XIX a. pabaigos.
