Description
Exhibit description | Kaip atgimimo, atsinaujinimo ir sielos nemirtingumo simboliai vystant mumijas tarp vyturų buvo dedami amuletai – skarabėjai. Senovės egiptiečiams skarabėjas, mums labiau žinomas kaip mėšlavabalis, buvo šventas gyvūnas, sietas su Saulės dievu Ra. Mėšlo rutuliuko ridenimas tapatintas su saulės disko kelione, o naujų skarabėjų išsiritimas – su prisikėlimu iš pomirtinio požeminio pasaulio. Skarabėjaus amuletas buvo dedamas ant mumijos, širdies vietoje. Eksponuojamas skarabėjas – žiedo akis – yra iš Ramesidų laikotarpio, XIII–XII a. pr. Kristų. Ant jo matyti kalkakmenio ir glazūros pėdsakų. Skarabėjo apkaustėlis yra gamtinis aukso ir sidabro lydinys – vadinamasis elektrumas. Ant pagrindo – hieroglifų įrašas. |
