Exhibit description | Pintys yra patys primityviausi daugialąsčiai gyvūnai, neturintys organų ir audinių. Tai dažniausiai nepastovios kūno formos gyvūnai, sudaryti iš įvairių, skirtingas funkcijas atliekančių ląstelių. Pintys gyvena gėlame arba jūriniame vandenyje, jų kūno formą palaiko mineralinis arba organinis skeletas. Stiklapintės skeletas yra cilindro formos, stebėtoją žavi gražia, ažūrine medžiaga. Meilės deivės Veneros vardu ji tikriausiai vadinama dėl dviejų joje gyvenančių priešingos lyties moliuskų, kurie čia įsiruošia šeimos židinį ir veda savo vaikus. Stiklapintė gali būti nuo kelių centimetrų iki 1 metro ilgio. Stiklapintės gali gyventi vandenyno dugne iki vieno kilometro gylio. Maitinasi mikroplanktonu. Veneros kraitelei, kaip ir visoms kitoms pintims, lengvai atauga prarasta kūno dalis. Jos yra paplitusios Ramiajame vandenyne prie Japonijos ir Filipinų. Aprašą parengė A. Patapavičienė |
